General Rules
  • The submitted abstract should be complete in all aspects and should be submitted online through AASNS.NSI2019 website only.
  • Delegates can submit abstracts in following Mode of Presentation:
    • Platform
    • Award Paper
    • Digital Poster
  • Each delegate registered for the conference shall be allowed to present and upload only One Platform paper (Award or Free paper) and One Digital Poster presentation. This shall not apply to papers presented at the History of Neurosciences session. Therefore, a member may present only a maximum of two papers (one platform and one poster or two platform presentations one of which is in the History of Neurosciences session at the annual conference of the Society. He may present additional invited papers at the CM E / Symposia.
  • The abstract should be submitted in one of the below subjects:

  • Do not mention author’s name / institution in the body of the abstract.
  • Maximum allowed word count for each abstract is 250 words.
  • Submitting an abstract does not guarantee acceptance.
  • The scientific committee will inform the authors on their email IDs submitted above in case of acceptance of abstract.
  • The scientific committee will decide the final decision regarding the category of presentation. It would be binding to all authors.
  • Registration for the Congress is compulsory for presentation (Platform, Award Paper, Digital Poster).
  • No personal communication related to abstract acceptance and category of presentation would be entertained.
  • Abstracts of the accepted papers will be printed in the abstract book as received. Authors are requested to ensure submission of error free text of the abstracts.
  • During the Conference, all presentations and digital posters are to be uploaded in the preview room of the Conference. No presentations on individual / personal laptops / computers will be allowed in any case. The Conference secretariat undertakes to protect all original presentations, which shall be deleted from all records after the Conference
  • The last date for submission of all abstracts is 31st July, 2019.

AWARD PAPERS & GUIDELINES
  • Award Papers Categories:
    • NSI Award for Best Paper in Neurology
    • NSI Award for Best Paper in Neurosurgery
    • K. K. Bisaria Award for Best Paper in Allied Neurosciences
    • Hindustan Ciba Geigy Epilepsy Award
    • Herbert Krause Neuro Oncology Award
    • Col. M. L. Suri Best Paper Award on Cost Effective Management in Neurology
    • Neurology India Best Paper Award (below the age of 45 years)
  • The following will be the rules governing these awards:
    1. Contestant should be below the age of 45 years. Total experience excluding training in the specialty not to exceed 7 years;
    2. Should have completed at least one-year Associate membership of the Society;
    3. Work presented should have been done in India
    4. The contestant should present the paper/poster in the conference personally
    5. The paper should not have been published or presented earlier in any other conference
    6. The Head of the Department/Institution to which a candidate is attached should certify that the work presented is the candidate's personal contribution or that the candidate did the major part of the work.
    7. Full paper should be submitted in format of “Neurology India”, at the time of submission of the abstract.
    8. The Chairman, Scientific Committee with the help of appropriate reviewers will ensure that a maximum of three papers per award are presented in the Award Paper session of the Conference.
    9. Judges will be nominated by EC and the judges' decision shall be final.
NSI MCQ AWARD MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION EXAMINATION

NSI MCQ Award Multiple Choice Question examination will be held during the annual conference of the Society. The top scorer in the examination shall be given the NSI MCQ Award.

The conditions for the award are:

  • The awardee should be a member/associate member for at least 1 year;
  • The awardee should be below 45 years of age;
  • Total experience excluding training in the specialty should not exceed 7 years;
  • The Head of the Department / Institution to which the candidate is attached should certify that the candidate is a trainee in one of the branches of Neurosciences.

General Specifications For Digital Poster Presentations
  • The Digital Poster will be displayed on standard 42” LCD.
  • The file format should be Powerpoint (PPT).
  • Total size of the presentation should not exceed 20MB.
  • Maximum number of slides in the presentation should not exceed 5/Digital Poster.
  • All slides should be in landscape format.
  • Animation/movie sounds will not be supported. Please submit in a static PPT format only.
  • Each slide in the Digital Poster should be self-explanatory and the text should be brief and well organized.
  • The font size should be readable and at least 26 points.
  • The slide in the Digital Poster should have a contrasting background with respect to the fonts. In dark colour background, the fonts should be light colour and vice-versa.
  • The illustrations images/photograph used in the Digital Poster should be enlarged enough to reveal its relevant details.
